Harrogate in Bloom 2024
Low Harrogate Crown Green Bowling Club won the Harrogate in Bloom Shield, awarded to the best communal grounds, at the 2024 awards. The award reflects the tremendous work done by our members in maintaining the green and making the surrounds so colourful with shrubs and planters.
A team from our club enjoyed a Friendly match with Roundhay Bohemians on 19th September. The match finished 4 games each, although Bohemians won the aggregate score by a good margin.
Congratulations to Peter Syson on winning the Burwell Cup for the fifth time. The runner up was Ivan Ravilious.
Champion of Champions
Our club hosted the HABA Champion of Champions final on Sunday 8th September. It was a grey and damp day but the green held up well, in spite of heavy rain in the morning. The Final saw a father and son contest, between Brian and Adam Walker, with Brian coming out the winner. Some photos below (click to enlarge)

Congratulations to David Spilsbury on winning the Robinson Rose Bowl and to Nick Binns on winning the Veterans Trophy.
Lloyd Holden Trophy. Congratulations to David Spilsbury on winning the Lloyd Holden Trophy, beating Pauline Parker in the Final on 18th August. Semi finalists were Malcolm Davies and Ivan Ravilious. Photos in the Gallery

Howden Insurance Trophy
Congratulations to Peter Hicks on winning the Howden Insurance Trophy on Sunday 9th June. The trophy was presented by Chris Bishop, Branch Manager of Howden in Harrogate.
